Condition Symbol Legend & Charting Guide
1. Selecting & Navigating Teeth
Click any tooth on the Upper (Maxillary) or Lower (Mandibular) arch—or focus a tooth using Tab and press Enter or Space—to inspect and edit it. The chart uses standard clinical orientation where Patient's Right is on the left side of the diagram.
2. Mapping Tooth Surfaces
Posterior teeth (premolars and molars) feature an Occlusal (O) chewing surface, whereas anterior teeth (incisors and canines) feature an Incisal (I) biting edge alongside Mesial (M), Distal (D), Buccal (B), Labial/Facial (F), Lingual (L), and Palatal (P) surfaces.
3. Multi-Finding Documentation
Each tooth supports multiple distinct findings (for example, an existing Restoration on M-O and new Caries on D). Select the relevant surface(s) first, then click a condition button to record the finding.
