Data Input

Non-numeric characters will trigger an error. Empty values are ignored. Default decimal separator is dot (.).

Linear Regression & Correlation

Ensure both datasets have the exact same number of observations.

Permutation & Combination

Permutations (nPr): -

Combinations (nCr): -

Factorial (n!): -

Event Probability

Enter probabilities as decimals (e.g., 0.5) or percentages (e.g., 50%).

Complement P(A'): -

Union P(A ∪ B): -

How to Use the Statistical Calculator

1. Entering Data

Paste or type your numbers into the input box. You can separate values using commas, spaces, or new lines. The tool automatically cleans up extra spaces. Ensure you use a dot (.) for decimals (e.g., 3.14).

2. Population vs. Sample

The calculator automatically computes metrics for both Sample and Population data. Use Sample statistics (which use n - 1) when your data is a subset of a larger population. Use Population statistics (which use n) when you have collected data from every single member of the group you are studying.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Statistical Calculator is a web-based tool designed to help users quickly compute descriptive statistics, frequency distributions, and relationships between datasets without needing specialized desktop software. All calculations happen securely within your browser.

Simply enter your dataset into the input field in the "Descriptive Statistics" tab and click "Calculate Statistics". The system will automatically parse the data, sort it, and display the mean (average), median (middle value), and mode (most frequent value) in the results dashboard.

Population standard deviation is used when you have data for the entire population, dividing by n (total observations). Sample standard deviation is used when your data is a representative sample, dividing by n - 1 (Bessel's correction) to provide an unbiased estimator of the population variance.

Once you calculate statistics for your dataset, a Z-Score table is generated at the bottom of the descriptive tab. It standardizes each value using the formula $Z = (X - \mu) / \sigma$. You can toggle between calculating it based on the sample or population standard deviation.

No. Your dataset is processed entirely on your local device (in your browser) using JavaScript. We do not store, log, or send your statistical data to any external server. External connections are only used for loading chart libraries and displaying advertisements.

By default, the calculator uses the standard linear interpolation method (similar to the N-1 basis or Excel's PERCENTILE.INC). You can also switch the Quartile calculation to Tukey's Hinges (inclusive) via the dropdown options before calculating.
